A recent workshop focused on the intersection of diversity and project management and we want to share more about it with you.
The training explored how incorporating diverse perspectives can enhance project management processes and outcomes. Our team examined the role of diversity in fostering creativity, improving problem-solving, and ensuring that projects are inclusive and reflective of the communities we serve. The workshop also highlighted the importance of being aware of biases that might affect decision-making in project management and strategies to mitigate these biases.
We discussed practical approaches to embedding DEIJ principles into our project management practices, such as ensuring diverse representation in project teams, encouraging open dialogue, and considering the impact of projects on different stakeholders.
